Role: MySQL Apps DBA

Location: St. Louis, Missouri

Duration: 6 month contract
Rate Cap: Open
Visas: ok

Position Overview:

In this role we are looking for a MySQL DBA to assist our development team in maintaining a stable MySQL database.  We need someone that has worked in large environments (supporting databases in the terabytes
size).  We need someone strong in query tuning and an ability to optimize the
database performance. 

Specific Skills: 

• 5+ years of experience administering MySQL (in an application development environment (PHP or Perl).
• Strong in query tuning
• Experience working in a Unix and Perl or PHP environment
• Experience working with large databases (in the terabytes).

MUST HAVE:

• Experience working with large databases (in the terabytes).
• Experience working as a MySQL DBA (in an application development environment).

 

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience with data replication
• Experience supporting Oracle
